2800 acres mostly low fenced, game managed protein fed 2015-2024 and  has not been hunted since 2023. Deer herd has been corn fed continually during 2025; however started off 2025 with protein and keep cell cameras on the deer herd. We are looking for hunters that have the same high values that we have. So we may not lease to hunters this year but will keep trolling until we find those who we would like to have on the property. We are a family ranch since 1938. Hunters must have verified previous land-owner recommendations in addition to interview with owner. We have a beautiful property and a hunting website that will be available to serious respondents. We may consider group options that are appealing. We are surrounded by large non-hunting ranches and are mostly low-fenced. We may consider a larger group if it has a history and we connect with, old time hunters.

I am offering up acreage in the Texas Panhandle, just outside of Amarillo for quail hunting this season. I am looking for a max of 10 hunters, for anywhere between 6k-12k acres. The lease price is $9 - $12 per acre. The price is lower for leasing the whole acreage and higher if leasing a smaller portion of acreage. 

This is a working ranch and there are no livestock present at the leased hunting pastures though some are present in other pastures. There will be other one-time Mule Deer Hunts on the land (one time, pay per head); otherwise, there are no other uses except for grazing. 
We have done a quail survey this year and found about 6.5 birds per mile with coveys of both Bobs and Blues.

Limited Camping could be allowed but impact must be minimized.

We have lease templates available but we would need to determine the number of hunters, size of acreage and other terms to certify the document. We will also require liability waivers for everyone present on the lease.

Hunters must be neat, clean and respectful of ranch operators, gates, roads etc.

January 2026 Special Late Season Deer Lease {axis does +whitetails (anterless and spikes)}.

Gillespie County, 5 miles from Fredericksburg, TX.

5 days, January 7 – 11, 2026 (Wednesday – Sunday)

Lease cost is $2,800 for up to 4 hunters in your single group.

Harvest quota per hunter = a total of 4 deer:  2 axis does + 2 whitetails/antlerless; optional axis buck for $1500.

Hunters must provide their own pop-up blinds.

Recently renovated hunting lodge is included & offers a kitchen, bathroom (sink, toilet, shower), bunk beds, water, electricity & HVAC.

There is an electric hoist/ gambrel with adjacent water for cleaning and an overhead light for evening work.

A creek runs through the property.

Lease is for the first 2 weeks of deer season, ending at noon Sunday of the third weekend. Feeders are filled with corn & blinds are ready to hunt in. Cabin is fully furnished with central air & heat, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms & full kitchen; everything you need except food.  Children can be hunters. Whitetail Deer Management hunt – 1000.00 for two days hunting per hunter.  (September 27^th 2025-January 11^th, 2026)  1100 acres high fenced and managed year round.  Bag Limit 5 animals. Bag limit  2 Whitetail management bucks and one doe and two hogs.  Management buck defined as 3 ½ years of age or older 8 points short tined or less and not broken and will not score over 120 P/Y gross inches. If harvested buck scores over 120 inches gross a replacement fee of 200.00 per inch over 120 inches gross will apply.  If management buck has more than 8 points a replacement fee of  1000.00 per point over 8 points.
